Phyllopteryx taeniolatus commonly termed as weedy sea dragon , is a marine fish identical to the seahorse. Grown-up regular sea dragons have a rosy shading, with yellow and purple markings; they have little leaf-like structures that look like kelp fronds giving cover and various short spines for protection. Males have smaller bodies and are darker than females. Sea dragons have a long dorsal balance along the back and little pectoral blades on either side of the neck, which give balance. Generally sea dragons can reach 45 cm of length.
